Welcome to the Chess Problem Database Server!

The helpmate section of the PDB Server has been compiled with the help of the John Niemann collection and the benevolent work of a lot of contributors. The retro section of the PDB Server owes a lot to the Retro Corner web site, started by Philippe Schnoebelen and continued by Joost de Heer. The Retro Corner has been moved to Retro Corner and is now maintained by Otto Janko.

This chess problem database has been developed and is maintained through volunteer work of a lot of benevolent contributors, who spent their time and energy in the interest of the chess problem community. Any utilization for commercial purposes is strictly forbidden!
