Software for People Who Work with People

Work at SoftDeCC

Since 1998, we have been developing software in Munich that training centers, academies, and industrial corporations use to organize their continuing education programs. We have a team of about 50 colleagues—an equal mix of women and men, from diverse international backgrounds—all working together at the same location in Munich. We don’t have a distributed team spread across time zones; instead, we enjoy short communication channels and direct interaction.

What this means for you: You won’t be sitting in an anonymous open-plan office at a large corporation, but you also won’t be working alone from home without any connection to the team. Here, everyone knows each other—across departmental boundaries, all the way up to senior management.

How We Work

• Close ties to management:
Georg Nüssel, co-founder and managing director, remains actively involved in customer service to this day—for us, “quick decision-making” isn’t just a cliché.

• Responsibility Instead of Silos:
Whether it's development, support, or consulting—with us, you'll be working with real clients and their real needs, not anonymous tickets.

• Stability:
Over 25 years in the market, more than 50 active customer installations, and continuous growth rather than a “hire-and-fire” culture.

• Munich as a Location:
All teams work on-site in Munich—for anyone who prefers team culture and in-person interaction to a purely remote model.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Jobs at SoftDeCC

Is working from home an option?

Yes, working from home is an option here. At the same time, interacting with colleagues is important to us—which is why spending time at the office in Munich is something we welcome and actively encourage, not just a mandatory requirement.

As an IT developer, do I need to speak German fluently?

We are an international team, and communication is generally in German—but perfect German isn’t absolutely necessary. Alternatively, a very good command of English is sufficient. More important than the language itself is that we work well together with our colleagues and clients—and that depends heavily on good communication, regardless of the language.

What qualifications are required?

That depends on the specific position—from experience in software development to industry knowledge in corporate learning or client consulting. You can find details in the respective job posting.

How big is the team I'll be joining?

In total, about 50 colleagues work at SoftDeCC, spread across development, support, consulting, and administration—all at the Munich location.

To whom should I address my application?
